  • Organisations submitting more than one application for a treatment package are required to:

    • Submit one (1) Schedule A and one (1) x Schedule B requirements, and
    • Submit multiple responses to Schedule C, Schedule D, Schedule E, Schedule F, and Schedule G, according to the number of applications being submitted. For each Schedule C submitted you must also submit corresponding information in Schedules D, E, F, and G.
  • No. AGPAL is not an approved accreditation standard for organisations funded by NSW Health to deliver alcohol and other treatment services.

    Current accreditation against the NSW Health approved accreditation standards for organisations delivering AOD treatment services is required. NSW Health approved organisation accreditation standards are:

    • Evaluation and Quality Improvement Program (EQuIP)
      Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS)
    • QIC Health and Community Service Standards
      Quality Innovation Performance (QIP)
    • Australian Service Excellence Standards
      Government of South Australia, Department for Communities and Social Inclusion
    • National Standards for Mental Health Services*
      Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care

  • ​Yes. Application from organisations with current membership of an accrediting agency that can demonstrate active and recent progress towards accreditation against NSW Health approved accreditation standards will be considered.   

  • ​Existing AOD service providers can apply for grants to deliver expanded AOD treatment services. Residential service providers may apply for non-residential grant packages to expand service delivery to meet the needs of non-residential clients. Grant packages 3, 4 and 5 are for non-residential clients (community/ambulatory/outreach/telehealth services).

  • ​Existing AOD service providers can apply for grants to deliver expanded AOD treatment services. The staffing mix of the proposed service may include mental health specialists as long as the service delivery model and activity is in line with the grant package requirements. For example, an existing residential service provider could not apply for grants under packages 3, 4 or 5 if they propose that those grant package services be delivered to residential clients (as these grant packages are for non-residential clients).

  • ​Yes. The grant closing date has been extended from 15 May 2023, to the new closing date of 5pm 29

  • Yes. Incorporated organisations established under Australian legislation, with not-for-profit operation, are eligible to apply.
