Finalist: Staff Member of the Year Award
Dr Georgia Pace is a Senior Resident Medical Officer in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Dubbo Hospital in the Western NSW Local Health District.
Georgia is an advocate for culturally safe, collaborative care, where clinical excellence meets human connection. She supports grieving families, continues contact after discharge, and ensures follow-up care for those from isolated communities.
She has championed safer staffing ratios, helped trial new models for ICU multidisciplinary meetings, and advocated for weekend patient mobilisation.
Her work goes above and beyond as she also advocates for culturally safe care, especially for Aboriginal patients and families who travel long distances for treatment.
