Michelle Hutchison is the Clinical Leader of the Griffith Drug and Alcohol Service in Murrumbidgee Local Health District. She leads a small but effective team to provide compassionate, culturally safe, and person-centred care to people affected by substance use across Griffith and surrounding areas.
Michelle is dedicated, innovative and compassionate. She approaches challenges with an open heart and a clear sense of purpose. Her work has helped to transform service delivery, reduce wait times, increase testing and attendance rates, improve treatment completion, and increase engagement with Aboriginal consumers.
Whether it’s advocating for new services, building trust with hard-to-reach communities, or guiding her team with unwavering support, Michelle’s leadership has reshaped the landscape of addiction treatment, showing that change comes when you lead with empathy, determination and a belief in the potential of others.
