The 3D Bioprinting Skin project is a world-first, Phase I clinical trial that aims to transform wound care by developing a patient-specific, automated approach to skin regeneration. The approach involves printing a construct of the patient's own skin cells directly onto the wound during surgery.

The Nurse-led Geriatric Oncology Model of Care focused on identifying and managing age-related health issues often missed in standard oncology care. The model improved clinical outcomes and was successfully integrated into routine oncology practice.

Protecting Aged Care Residents from Vaccine Preventable Diseases
This project increased vaccination coverage for those living in residential aged care facilities by creating tailored action plans, vaccine trackers, online consent forms and introducing staff education sessions. Coverage for COVID-19, pneumococcal and shingles increased as a result.

iGEM: An Intergrated Geriatric Emergency Medicine Model
The iGEM model at Blacktown Hospital introduced a 5-bed, consultant-led short stay unit to provide Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) residents with in-depth, multidisciplinary care within 24 hours, so they could return to their RACF sooner.
