At the young age of 25, Ricky works tirelessly for the Aboriginal community and partners with many local, state and federal agencies including NSW Health to ensure a voice for Aboriginal people.
Ricky has been volunteering with the Macksville Hospital Development team for the past three years. He has now taken over as the Chairperson for the Aboriginal Reference Group, which he takes great pride in.
He continually makes himself available when required and his knowledge, advice and network of resources make this project a real community effort.
Ricky is always smiling, willing to give his time to make the future brighter for his community. He is a gentle, kind person, with a welcoming personality who enjoys spending time with people.
As a well-respected and trusted member of the community, he is helping to ‘Close the Gap’ to improve the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians.
