Transcript of COVID Clinics: A Massive Drive-Through Response - Hunter New England Local Health District

Christine Osborne: I’d like to acknowledge the traditional custodians and community members of the land we’re meeting on today and acknowledge elders past and present.

Carolyn Hullick: We were concerned about the media that showed long lines of people wearing masks out the front of hospitals.

We came up with a solution that divided the three groups. The first was administration, the second part was the telehealth fever clinic, and then we had the drive through clinic.

We were able to scale this clinic from a one-lane clinic swabbing 150 to 200 people a day, right through to a six-lane drive through in excess of 1,000 people a day.
