Rita Williams: I initiated the ARDAC study – Aboriginal children in renal, for renal disease.

Both non-Aboriginal children and Aboriginal children were screened. There was good medical support and it was my initiation.

It’s about challenging the system and that was my forte, to challenge the system.

​ I didn’t come here just to work. I wanted to challenge the health system and make a change.

You know, when Aboriginal people come to this hospital, they will see a cultural space to create a memorial garden. ​​​​​​​​​​
