An effective education campaign was conducted during the lead up to smoking bans in commercial outdoor dining areas from 6 July 2015.
Media channels were selected to reach campaign audiences at times and places relevant to dining out. The media strategy was designed to reach seven out of ten adults in NSW at least once during the campaign.
- social media in the form of Facebook posts
- radio, including metro, regional and Aboriginal radio stations. Radio advertising was also broadcast in Mandarin, Cantonese, Arabic and Vietnamese
- digital and mobile display
- digital café screens
- trade press advertorials in NSW hospitality magazines.
