The NSW Opioid Treatment Program (OTP), also known as opioid agonist treatment or opioid dependence treatment, provides pharmacotherapy and support services to people with an opioid dependence.
Find a local pharmacy that offers OTP or long-acting injectable buprenorphine using the map below.
If you are considering a change in dosing point, please speak to your prescriber to discuss as this will need to be arranged by them.
It is recommended you call the pharmacy to confirm that they have capacity to take on new patients.
If you get your OTP medication at a community pharmacy, you will pay a general PBS co-payment of $30 per prescription (up to 28 days). If you have a concession card you will pay $7.30 per prescription. This payment will contribute to your PBS Safety Net.
If you get a combination of two strengths of sublingual buprenorphine, you will need to pay two co-payments.
Your pharmacy cannot charge you additional private dispensing or dosing fees for OTP medicines under the PBS, this includes for administration of long acting injectable buprenorphine.
Navigate to a pharmacy near you using the map. Select a pinned location to show the pharmacy’s address and contact details. Pharmacies can request to have their information added to the map by emailing MOH-OTPProfessional@health.nsw.gov.au.
Pharmacies that offer both OTP and long-acting injectable buprenorphine are highlighted in green and pharmacies that offer OTP only are highlighted in blue.
