Come work and play the Aussie way

New South Wales (NSW) is widely regarded as Australia's premier state, offering iconic experiences ranging from the world‑famous Sydney Harbour to pristine national parks and stunning, internationally recognised beaches.
Beyond the major cities, rural and regional NSW offers something truly distinctive. Junior doctors working in regional centres and rural communities gain broad clinical exposure, hands‑on experience, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference where they are most needed.

NSW Health can help you become the best doctor you can be.

While the Australian lifestyle speaks for itself, many international junior doctors, known locally as Junior Medical Officers (JMOs), tell us that the professional opportunities at NSW Health are just as compelling. From high‑quality training and supportive supervision to diverse metropolitan, regional and rural career pathways, JMOs consistently describe their time working in NSW as both professionally rewarding and personally enriching.
