Lumos Evaluation Report 3 was published in 2023. This report presents the program's evolution of state-wide scale up to deliver a well-established enduring and representative linked data asset, made possible through continued collaboration with multiple stakeholders.

 Lumos Evaluation Report 2 was published in 2022. This report presents the second evaluation of the establishment of Lumos as a key data asset made possible through the collaboration of multiple stakeholders.

The document reports the progress of the program against its ambitions at the end of the third year of its funding.

Frameworks

Lumos Monitoring and Evaluation Framework Lumos Monitoring and Evaluation Framework

The Lumos Monitoring and Evaluation Framework was published in 2021. It describes the program aims, evaluation questions, evaluation domains, implementation approach and data sources for assessing the impact of the Lumos program. The program evaluation will be performed annually for three years with an annual report provided after each evaluation..

 

 

Lumos Data Governance FrameworkLumos Data Governance Framework

The Lumos Data Governance Framework was first published in 2021.  The Framework is regularly reviewed to ensure its fitness for purpose and currency. It is designed to:

          • ensure data management across the Lumos program is aligned with the aims of Lumos and complies with relevant requirement;
          • build and maintain public trust in Lumos;
          • guide Lumos stakeholders in their data-related decision making; and
          • establish and govern responsibilities and accountabilities.

 

Publications

Lumos: A state-wide data program in linking general practice data to guide system redesign

An article from the Lumos program was accepted in the BMJ Integrated Care Journal in April 2021. Lumos: A state-wide data program in linking general practice data to guide system redesign describes the establishment of the Lumos program, keys to success, and evaluates the demographic representativeness of participants in the first scale-up linkage.

Innovations in Care for Chronic Health Conditions

The Australian Government Productivity Commission released Innovations in Care for Chronic Health Conditions in March 2021. This report explores innovative approaches for managing chronic health conditions, and Lumos is featured as a data linkage case-study on pages 133-136.
