Anna: I really became inspired to become a nurse after a personal experience of being in hospital. I saw how important the nurses were and the role that they had and they were really special to me at a hard time

Mikaela: As an intensive care nurse, I feel really privileged to be able to provide compassionate care to patients and their families during really tough times

Alannah:  As a community nurse, I’m contantly learning and diversifying my skills to give the best to those in my care

Mark: We see people in their houses, and after 30 years of being a registered nurse I still enjoy being part of the community and caring for my community

Katie: I provide safe and quality care to patients that are emerging from anaesthetic, this is the most vulnerable time as part of their surgery

Joy:  Refugee health has become a passion

Kirsty: It’s very important for our clients that we are their advocate in this space

Mel: It’s such a rewarding job to be part of a team so dedicated to caring for the elderly, in the community, helping them to help themselves and remain in their own homes for as long as possible

Michelle: My role as the leader in my organization is to lead the vision for nursing and midwifery. I’m extremely passionate about the patient journey

Sue: To make sure that our patients get the best service for their journey through our health care service

Michelle: Right from the front door of the emergency department down to the rehabilitation services down to the community

Hamish: It’s really important that we see each patient as an individual that has individual care needs that we are able to provide the support, the advocacy and the nursing care for them

Sarah: The main priority we have on E2 is of course patient care

Georgia: As a new nurse I hope to provide patients with excellent and compassionate care

Mikaela: I’m proud to be a part of a team who strive to deliver the best quality care for patients

Julie: I actually get to work with managers in this organisation to help develop them professionally and to assist them to develop their teams

Emma: We have a great team here to provide us with extra support to ensure that patients have the best possible outcomes

Felicity: What brings them back day-in-day-out is that our patients are important, that they matter, and the best possible nursing care needs to be delivered

Debra: And do it with a smile and a happy heart because that’s the kind of nurse I would want looking after me
