The Shared Understanding Project supports NSW Health to work more openly, consistently and collaboratively with communities, staff and partners we serve, to build stronger relationships and increase trust in healthcare.
By clearly explaining what we can safely and realistically deliver, what is changing, and how decisions are made, we help build trust, set clear expectations, and support understanding about what is possible and where there may be limits.
To understand how NSW Health can better collaborate with our community, consumers and carers, staff and partners to create a shared understanding in planning and delivering health services, we engaged more than 300 individuals across the state.
The Shared Understanding Project Recommendations Report - Summary explains our focus on building a shared understanding of healthcare, and key findings from consultations.
