Single Digital Patient Record

Transforming how people experience and provide care in NSW.

What is the Single Digital Patient Record?

The Single Digital Patient Record (SDPR) is changing healthcare experiences across NSW Health by providing a full picture of a person's health information — like test results, appointments, and treatment history — in one secure system.

NSW Health has started to roll out the SDPR. After a successful commencement of the SDPR in Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health and NSW Health Pathology (John Hunter Hospital Lab) on 25 March 2026, we have commenced using the SDPR in Hunter New England LHD and NSW Health Pathology (Hunter New England sites). Over the next several years, the SDPR will be introduced in every NSW Health public hospital and health service across NSW. This will give healthcare workers a complete view of your care, making it easier for them to help you, no matter where or who you are. It means better, safer and more connected care for everyone in the public healthcare system.

If you are a NSW Health staff member, you can view other program updates, resources and information to help you get prepared for the transition ahead. Visit internal SDPR SharePoint.
