​​​​​​Policies and guidelines relating to planned​ surgery

• Planned Surgery Access. This policy replaces the Elective Surgery Access Policy and provides guidance to NSW public hospital teams managing planned surgery services
• National Elective Surgery Urgency Categorisation. The purpose of the guideline is to promote national consistency and comparability in urgency categorisation and improve equity of access for patients undergoing planned surgery.
• Surgical activity during Christmas and New Year This policy requires Districts and Networks to submit a Christmas and New Year Activity Plan to the Ministry of Health by 30 September each year.​
