The Rostering Best Practice team (RBPT) has responsibility for leading the program of work which reviews, supports, and drives improvement initiatives in rostering practices across all staffing groups within NSW Health.

New standardised skills - HealthRoster

From 23 February 2021, a standardised set of skills within HealthRoster is available to allow Local Health Districts (LHDs) and Specialty Health Networks (SHNs)  the ability to monitor workforce capacity and enable NSW Health to have visibility of workforce skillsets across the state.

Rostering Portal

A Rostering Portal has been designed to support the consolidation of information about rostering in NSW Health. It contains the key rostering documents produced by the Ministry of Health and relevant links to resources and information produced by other Health agencies involved in rostering including eHealth and HealthShare.

Methodology and process

A typical engagement with the Rostering Best Practice Team (RBPT) will last from 6 to 9 months, depending on the district or network's needs and the agreed scope of work. The RBPT runs multiple engagements across the state at any one time.
