HealthRoster provides a common rostering platform for over 160,000 employees across NSW Health, supporting effective patient care, employee wellbeing, and organisational efficiency. The HealthRoster Improvement Project aims to comprehensively address knowledge gaps and provide sustainable education and training in collaboration with Local Health Districts (LHDs) and Specialty Health Networks (SHNs).
The HealthRoster Improvement Project focuses on governance, functionality, and education in areas relating to rostering best practice and practical applications within HealthRoster. The project encompasses education for all disciplines, including Nursing and Midwifery, Medical, Corporate, and Allied Health, to support standardisation of rostering practices and use of HealthRoster features and tools.
The HealthRoster Improvement Project is supported by a range of resources, including specialised dashboards incorporating specific key performance indicators. The project is being delivered across 2024 and 2025, followed by a sustainability phase to support LHDs and SHNs in continual best practice for rostering and consistency in governance.
The HealthRoster Improvement Community of Practice will be launched in 2025. Refer to the Efficiency Improvement and Support Team (EIST) HealthRoster Improvement SharePoint (internal access only) for further information.
