Suicide Prevention Outreach Teams (SPOT) help people who are experiencing a crisis, suicidal distress or at risk of self-harm.
SPOT is a mobile service that can come to you. They can come to a place where you are comfortable receiving support. You can talk to a peer worker who has experience with suicide or to a mental health clinician.
They can help you with:
You can get help by calling the SPOT service nearest to you or getting a referral from your GP / doctor or local community health centre.
You can also contact the Mental Health Line on 1800 011 511, where a trained mental health professional will ask you questions about your mental health needs. They will then refer you to the appropriate service.
If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, please call Triple Zero 000 or visit your local Emergency Department.
