The NSW Health Innovation Symposium (Festival of Contagious Ideas) hosted by the NSW Minister for Health, the Hon Jillian Skinner MP, was held on 27 and 28 October 2016 at Sydney Showgrounds.
The energy and commitment of NSW Health staff was evident throughout the presentations, panel discussions and questions raised. It really was a showcase of excellence and showed how innovation and change can lead to better patient outcomes. Delegates were also encouraged to share their own thoughts on innovation through whiteboards, an electronic graffiti wall and video interviews.
The Festival of Contagious Ideas also provided the platform to showcase the finalists of the NSW Health Awards. These finalists were chosen by their peers out of 157 entries across the state. Over the two days, finalists took centre-stage to reveal their project in 60 contagious seconds.
The recipients of the prestigious NSW Health Awards were announced at a function following the Symposium.
