Fluoridation of Public Water Supplies Advisory Committee

Membership of the Fluoridation of Public Water Supplies Advisory Committee is prescribed by Section 4 of the Fluoridation Public Water Supplies Act 1957.

The membership of the Committee is:

Dr Heather Cameron, NSW Chief Dentist (Minister for Health nominee) as Chair,
Dr Aidan Tan, Australian Medical Association (NSW) representative,
Dr Sophie Halpin, Australian Dental Association NSW) representative,
Murray Thompson, Engineers Australia representative,
Councillor Robert Bell, Local Government NSW representative, and
Dr Christine Cowie, Woolcock Institute for Medical Research (Minister for Health appointee).

The role of the committee is to make recommendations and advise on fluoridation, including any proposal for the fluoridation of a public water supply.
