The Whole of Health Program hosted a “Doctors Leading Change” breakfast session on 7th December 2016 at the Sydney Masonic Centre. This forum was held in partnership with the Agency for Clinical Innovation, the Clinical Excellence Commission and Alfred-Victoria Health. The forum was an opportunity for our doctors across the system and clinical decision makers of the future to share learning on challenges, solutions and outcomes with a focus on medical engagement in quality improvement.

The morning saw 80 doctors join a discussion forum tackling issues on leadership and change. We heard from the team at the Alfred Hospital who talked about how their six principles of ‘Timely Quality Care’ addressed some of their challenges and that the breaking down of hierarchies was essential to success for this model of care.
