The Future Workforce Unit, NSW Health is immensely proud of the ongoing relationship with the UNSW International Centre for Future Health Systems (ICFHS) and the UNSW Faculty of Medicine and Health. Together, the Future Workforce Unit and ICFHS are actively bridging the gap between academic theory, educating the upcoming generation of clinicians, and the practical realities of the frontline.​

This relationship draws on world-class research, incorporating international health system reforms and insights from Oxford University and others, to explore the evolution of the work, the workplace, and the workforce.

With aligned objectives for equitable, person-centered healthcare, we are focusing on translation: taking high-level evidence and applying it to optimise clinical workflows and health delivery for the future.

Our shared events with UNSW Faculty of Medicine and Health and ICFHS have become a vital hub for innovation, uniting education, students, researchers, health professionals, and workforce planners. We have built incredible momentum over the last few years through these collaborative milestones:
