Staff awareness and understanding of patient privacy should be promoted in a routine and ongoing way. Staff should have access to training in privacy principles and requirements.
Staff should contact the Privacy Contact Officer or the HR/ Learning and Development unit at their local health service for information regarding face-to-face training.
Online privacy training resources are also available via the Health Education and Training Institute (HETI).
