Local health districts and specialty health networks across NSW were asked to review the effectiveness of local strategies used to manage demand in winter 2015.
This formed the basis of a statewide workshop on 17th November 2015, which brought local health district representatives together with key partners in demand management, such as NSW Ambulance, Non Emergency Patient Transport and healthdirect, and featured a series of presentations aimed at sharing learning and experience from managing demand this winter. Lessons learned are not specific to winter and can be used in planning for times of high demand going forward.
