Licences under the Poisons and Therapeutic Goods Act 1966

Processing of Licences under the Poisons and Therapeutic Goods Act

The Regulation and Compliance Unit is responsible for the administration of licences under the Poisons and Therapeutic Goods Act 1966. Businesses and facilities wishing to apply for a licence must complete one of the application forms below and send the completed form with accompanying documentation to the NSW Ministry of Health. Assessment of applications is undertaken by the Pharmaceutical Services Unit.

Processing times for applications are dependent on all necessary information being available. Where it is necessary for the Ministry to request additional information, the ‘clock’ will be stopped until all requests have been resolved. Periods where the clock is stopped are not included in the maximum processing time.
